Shaila G.

Name/Pronouns: Shaila Gupta (she/her)

Teaches: Peaceful Prana, Prana

A bit about Shaila: Shaila is a lifelong student of yoga, raised in Yogic and Vedic traditions passed down by her father and his father (and his father, so on.) To prepare for her path as a teacher, Shaila studied 200 hours in Baptiste Power Yoga and 200 hours in The Coterie’s methodology. She describes her yoga philosophy as a 3-legged stool: an act of preservation for her family tradition, an act of rebellion against oppressive systems, and an act of connection with her self and her community.

In her classes, expect to practice asana and pranayama that will help you build an expansive, feels-good-for-you physical practice. Just as much as the physical, Shaila’s classes also focus on the connection to self and source. You may learn to focus inward and quiet the fluctuations of the mind, or you may find curiosity in deeper self-study and self-discipline.

Whether you’re coming to class to move your body, rest your mind, or something else all together, Shaila is eager to learn about you as an individual and build a relationship that will have a lasting impact on your practice.
