A bit about Brook: Brook first discovered yoga when she was working as a new graduate nurse in Washington, D.C. She was feeling physically and mentally exhausted from her career and sought out yoga to counteract working in a busy inner city hospital. She started taking classes and was hooked when she became aware of the benefits of a regular yoga practice.
After moving back to North Carolina, in 2013 Brook decided to enroll in a 200 hour yoga teacher training to deepen her practice. She initially had no intention of teaching, but by the end of her training she knew she wanted to share her love of yoga with others. She taught vinyasa classes at Be Yoga for many years, followed by leading all-level classes at various breweries and events in the Charlotte area.
Brook's approach to yoga remains focused on an inclusive space for both beginners and experienced practitioners. With a background in healthcare, Brook places high importance on proper alignment to prevent injuries. Brook hopes to help students use their breath and unique abilities to uncover the spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental benefits of a regular yoga practice.
