A bit about her: Sylvia was introduced to yoga by her son after losing her Dad to cancer and managing sciatica issues from a running injury herself. Yoga helped her cope with their loss, and the physical benefits of healing her body was an added bonus.
A year later, she completed Yoga Sculpt and 200 hour Power Yoga teacher training and began to lead classes. The fusion of yoga and hip hop/R&B allowed Sylvia to feel the beautiful flows of one’s body while practicing mindfulness. Collectively, these things helped her understand and confirm that yoga is for ALL, feeling as though race or financial status have no place on the mat. She learned to share the value of a strong balanced body and a clear mind. She believes everyone can reap the wonderful physical and mental benefits of yoga and just maybe, “have fun feeling these dope ass vibes and beautiful energy while doing so."
