A bit about Chauncy: Chauncy Haney discovered yoga during his career as a professional athlete, initially stepping onto the mat to improve mobility and recovery. What began as a supplement to training quickly became a practice that transformed the way he moved, thought, and connected with himself. Not long after, he found himself leading a yoga session for a group of teammates—an unexpected first class that sparked a passion for teaching.
Influenced by both Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, Chauncy’s classes emphasize mindful movement, breath awareness, and using movement as a tool to reconnect with yourself. He believes yoga isn’t about levels or achieving the “perfect” pose. Every time we step onto the mat, we arrive as a different version of ourselves, and the practice meets us there.
Whether through modifications, challenges, or moments of stillness, Chauncy creates space for students to explore their practice in a way that feels supportive, empowering, and authentic to where they are that day. encouraging students to move with intention while honoring their individual needs. His role is not to force an experience, but to guide students toward the medicine that yoga already offers—presence, awareness, and a deeper connection to self.
